Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Wesley Smith and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Jackson as Vasquez shoots in.

Vasquez has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Jackson is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Vasquez tightens his grip and picks Jackson up, before dumping him to the ground. Jackson manages to land in guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Vasquez has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Jackson is working away from the top position though.

Vasquez is desperately trying to improve his position but Jackson has a good base and remains in mount.

Jackson tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Vasquez is looking to improve his position but Jackson isn't that keen on the idea.

Jackson seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Vasquez for as long as he can get away with.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Jackson, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
