Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jay Cutler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Larry Biggsby (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cutler comes to the cage accompanied by It's Not Over by Daughtry. Jay Cutler has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Larry Biggsby!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Dillan Fox and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Biggsby enables Cutler to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Biggsby manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Biggsby had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Cutler defends it easily.
Cutler has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Biggsby has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Cutler can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Cutler's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Cutler looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Biggsby with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Jay Cutler.

Cutler closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Biggsby quickly recovers to half guard.

Cutler throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Biggsby tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Cutler is in Biggsby's guard.

Biggsby escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Cutler gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Cutler wants to pass the guard but Biggsby is keeping the position.

Cutler controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Cutler has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Cutler postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Cutler knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Biggsby on the ground.
Cutler is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Cutler sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Biggsby's guard.

Cutler tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Cutler has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
