The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sparrow misses with a jab, cross combination.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Jackson is defended easily by Sparrow.
Jackson shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Sparrow as he jumps to the side.
Jackson has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Sparrow finds it's way round the side to connect with Jackson's head.

It looks like Kevin Jackson has been cut.
Sparrow fails with the takedown.
Sparrow throws a right and a left that both miss.
Jackson doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Sparrow counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Jackson's guard now.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kevin Jackson. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Sparrow has gone for a leg lock! Jackson slips out almost immediately though and dives into Sparrow's guard.

Sparrow is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Jackson won't let Sparrow get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
Sparrow is looking to improve his position but Jackson isn't that keen on the idea.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Sparrow has left one of his arms exposed and Jackson doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Sparrow screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
