Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jake OBrien (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Flippin Fighter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Flippin Fighter enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jake OBrien!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Flippin Fighter!
The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Eddie Farnsworth and Dean Styles.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

OBrien changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Fighter looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Fighter stops OBrien from passing to mount.
OBrien landing a few strikes.
OBrien trying to control the position but Fighter is working away.
Fighter tries to improve position but can't.
Fighter struggling a bit here.
Fighter sneaks back into half guard.
OBrien slips a nice elbow through Fighter's hands, connecting with Fighter's forehead.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

OBrien looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Fighter is trying to maintain the position but OBrien is very close to passing his half guard.
OBrien is keen to just control but Fighter is a slippery customer.

OBrien perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
OBrien is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
OBrien wants to take a breather but Fighter is having none of it.

OBrien is nestled in close to Fighter, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Fighter is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of OBrien's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take OBrien's back!

OBrien has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Fighter is proving hard to escape from.

Fighter is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
OBrien stays in close to Fighter's body and controls the position.
OBrien has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
OBrien is in close to Fighter's body, working some short punches and elbows.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
OBrien is pushing down on Fighter's leg trying to pass to half guard. Fighter is fighting to maintain full guard but OBrien has managed to sneak the leg through.

OBrien knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Fighter on the ground.

OBrien winds up and cracks Fighter with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

OBrien looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Fighter with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Fighter has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. OBrien is working away from the top position though.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with OBrien in particular looking to stall.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
