Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Keembo Sluce!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Charlie Furstenfeld!
The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Eddie Farnsworth and Chad Campbell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Furstenfeld closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Sluce did well to prevent Furstenfeld getting side control.
Sluce slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

Sluce has his foot on Furstenfeld's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Furstenfeld works his way back into a safe position though.
Furstenfeld wants to control from the top but Sluce keeps moving.
Furstenfeld is looking to work some ground and pound but Sluce has wrist control.
Furstenfeld has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Furstenfeld trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Sluce wants to sweep here but Furstenfeld controlling him for the moment.

Furstenfeld drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Sluce dives on top into guard.
Sluce trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Furstenfeld has his foot on Sluce's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Sluce works his way back into a safe position though.

Sluce drops back looking for a leg! Furstenfeld is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Furstenfeld manages to kick Sluce off! Sluce jumps back into Furstenfeld's guard.
Sluce wants to stand but Furstenfeld is controlling his posture from full guard.

Furstenfeld looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Furstenfeld utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Sluce is looking to work some ground and pound but Furstenfeld has wrist control.
Sluce looking to pass the guard.

Sluce got a little sloppy there for a moment and Furstenfeld has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Sluce has managed to get both his arms back between Furstenfeld's legs - danger averted.

Furstenfeld looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Sluce wants to stand but Furstenfeld is controlling his posture from full guard.
Sluce loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Sluce accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Sluce avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Furstenfeld is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Sluce defends well.

Sluce trying to control the position from guard on top but Furstenfeld is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Furstenfeld working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Sluce doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Furstenfeld is tightening it up a little... Sluce has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Sluce reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Sluce taps out! nice BJJ there by Furstenfeld!
