Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dan Stone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tyler Dignam (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dignam comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Nine Inch Nails - The Hand That Feeds kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! This should be a great matchup!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tyler Dignam!
The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Bruno Lombardi and David Schapiro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stone throws a right and a left that both miss.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Dignam scores with a leg kick.
Dignam lands with a nice body punch.
Stone tries to clinch there but Dignam circles away.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Dignam.
The fighters circling - Stone throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Dignam lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Dignam misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Stone tries to clinch but Dignam moves out of range.
Stone walks into a stiff left hand from Dignam.
Tyler Dignam seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dignam punishes Stone's body with a nice straight punch.
Stone moves in looking to clinch but Dignam pushes him off.
Dignam scores with a one two! Stone had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Stone throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Dignam lands with a good body shot.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Stone ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Dignam moves away.
Stone doesn't manage to clinch there - Dignam circles away.
Dignam connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Dignam throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Stone wants to clinch.
Stone tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.

Stone moves in looking to clinch but Dignam pushes him off.
Dignam lands with a slapping head kick.
Stone throws a hook but Dignam blocks it.
Stone swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Dignam ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Dignam lands with a good body shot.
Stone wants to clinch up but Dignam keeps it at a distance.
Dignam fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Stone has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Nice body punch from Dignam.
Dignam lands a nice shot to the body.
Dan Stone is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Stone is breathing heavily.
Dignam throws a shot to the body.
Dignam lands a head kick. Stone smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Stone takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Dignam's corner calls for a 1-2. Dignam obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Dignam is looking to slow Stone down with leg kicks.

Stone wants to control but Dignam is having none of it.
Stone tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Dignam controlling the pace for now.
Let's hope that Dignam has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Stone keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tyler Dignam dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Stone wants to clinch up but Dignam keeps it at a distance.
Stone takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Stone is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Dignam is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Stone rather than just go for the knockout.
Stone wants to clinch up but Dignam keeps it at a distance.
Dignam has a takedown stuffed.
Dignam scores with a nice right hand.
Dignam keeps the fight on the outside.
Dignam tests Stone's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Stone is looking to clinch but Dignam is avoiding it.
Stone throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Dignam makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.

Stone fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Dignam manages to avoid it.

Stone is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Dignam is controlling him well.

Stone on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Stone tries to get out of the position.
Dignam is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Stone is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Dignam asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Stone tries to get back to half guard but can't.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Dignam controls the position.
Stone can't do much from the bottom here.
Stone is trying to buck Dignam off.
Dignam wants to lay and pray for a moment but Stone keeps working.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Dignam controlling from side mount.
Dignam working away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tyler Dignam showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!


Stone on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Stone stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Dignam.
Stone tries to clinch
enabling Dignam to counter with a crisp jab.
Dignam lands with a shot to the body.

and Stone takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Dignam cracks the inside of Stone's front leg.
Dignam bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Stone's head backwards.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Dignam.
Dignam has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Stone swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Dignam counters with a head kick.

Stone closes the distance and clinches.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Dignam working some nice short punches in the clinch.
Dignam is pushing Stone up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

Dignam's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Stone tries to clinch
and Stone takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Dignam scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Dignam works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Dignam scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Stone thows a body shot but no joy.
A shot to the liver by Stone. Beautiful body shot.

Dignam avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Dignam fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Stone looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Stone misses with a double jab
and Dignam counters with a nice low kick that buckles Stone's knee momentarily.
Dignam throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Stone darts in trying to clinch
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Dignam lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Dignam scores with a hook to the body. Stone takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Dignam has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Stone wants to clinch
and Dignam counters with a stiff right hand.
Stone tries to clinch there but Dignam circles away.
Stone closes the distance but Dignam moves to the side
and Dignam connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Stone scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Stone misses with a straight right.
Stone scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Dignam scores with a leg kick.
Good leg kick by Dignam there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Stone misses with an uppercut.

Dignam drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Stone is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Dignam remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Stone pushes Dignam away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Dignam gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Stone is looking for a sweep.
Dignam trying to control the position but Stone is working away.
Dignam controls the position.
Dan Stone has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Dignam is looking to take a break and control but Stone is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Dignam misses with an attempted head punch from side control.

And that's the end of the fight!
Tyler Dignam comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Dignam winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
