Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Cameron Christianson!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Tarja Halkonen and Anni Minnemäki.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Iron looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Christianson is fending him off so far but Iron persists. Nope, Christianson circles away and we're back to standing.

Iron fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Christianson sprawls well initially but Iron persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Iron wants to lay and pray for a moment but Christianson keeps working.

Iron wants to take a breather but Christianson is having none of it.

We're going to have a standup here because Paul Iron wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Christianson fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Iron looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Cameron Christianson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Christianson has closed the distance and engaged Iron in a clinch.

Christianson connects with a nasty looking knee right to Iron's face.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Christianson can do anything to dispel that myth.

Christianson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Iron. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Iron wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Christianson, who protects the arm well.
Iron moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.

Iron tries to move to mount but Christianson blocks the move with his legs.

Iron is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Christianson is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Iron tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Iron has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Iron passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Christianson!
Iron has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Christianson's face.
Iron looking to control but Christianson is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Iron misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

Poor strikes thrown by Iron there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Christianson is bucking up trying to escape but Iron cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Iron pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Iron sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

Iron wants to control the pace but Christianson is squirming around nicely.
Paul Iron overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Iron can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Christianson is looking to escape.

Paul Iron showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Iron, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
