Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, John Price!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Price keeps the fight on the outside.
Pool tries to clinch up but Price circles away and keeps his distance.
Pool shoots in but Price avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Price has taken the fight to the clinch.
Pool working hard to break the clinch.

Price pulls guard effortlessly.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Price keeping moving, preventing Pool from controlling successfully.
Pool postures up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Pool throwing strikes but missing.
Price working a defensive guard here.
Price might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Pool kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Price has his feet on Pool's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Pool tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Price swivels and escapes.
Pool slips a jab and a cross from Price.
Price lands with a slapping head kick.
Pool wants to clinch but Price slips to the side

and Price counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Price tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Pool avoids it.
Pool jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Price walks away with a smile on his face. Pool gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Brian Pool. That's going to take a lot out of him.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Pool scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Pool chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Pool tries to bum rush Price with a series of wild strikes but Price uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Price rushes Pool and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Price tries to pull guard but Pool holds him up against the cage and eventually Price drops back down to his feet.
Price avoiding damage.
Pool is trying to break free.

Price breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Price looks gassed!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Pool throws a body kick despite being completely out of range

and Price moves into the clinch.

Price manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Pool postures up in Price's guard and throws a big left but Price blocks it.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Pool is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Price keeping moving, preventing Pool from controlling successfully.
Pool throws and elbow that misses. Price uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Pool's guard. Nice move by Price!

Price gets to his feet. Pool looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Price stuffs the takedown attempt from Pool. Pool gets slowly back to his feet.
Pool misses with a takedown

and Price counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Price.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Pool is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Pool is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Price is aware though and is defending well.
Pool is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Pool has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Price doesn't defend quickly enough and Pool has managed to lock this one up! Can Price escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Pool on a fantastic submission victory.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Brian Pool!
