The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gilmanov tries to clinch there but Chau circles away.
Gilmanov moves in looking to clinch but Chau pushes him off.
Chau defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Gilmanov.
Gilmanov fails with a takedown attempt.
Gilmanov is looking to clinch but Chau is avoiding it.
Horrible takedown by Gilmanov or perhaps it was just good defense by Chau which made him look bad.
Leslie Chau has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tagir Gilmanov.
Gilmanov shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Chau throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Gilmanov was covering up waiting for the punch and Chau finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Gilmanov has his foot on Chau's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Chau works his way back into a safe position though.
Chau might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Chau is working Gilmanov over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Gilmanov is trying to hold Chau in close to prevent damage but Chau has managed to pass into half guard.

Gilmanov really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Chau. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
