Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Lucas Black (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Timo Silakka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Black comes to the cage accompanied by AC/DC - Back in Black. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Timo Silakka!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Donatello Bradman and Winston Howard.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Black stalks Silakka and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Silakka's face. Silakka staggers backwards, shaken.
A swing and a miss from Black.
Lucas Black seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Black is looking to slow Silakka down with leg kicks.
Silakka shoots in for a double leg but Black sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Silakka keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Black throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Silakka on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Silakka shoots for a takedown but Black saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Black throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Silakka throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
A solid leg kick lands there for Black.

Black has had enough of the clinch but Silakka keeps him there for the moment.
Silakka is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Black gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Lucas Black has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Timo Silakka.
Black wants to break free but Silakka has control.

Black takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Black moves out of range as Silakka strikes.
Black takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

and Silakka counters with a left and a right that stings Black.
Black swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Black lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Black!
Black is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Silakka.
Black swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Black pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Black throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
A solid body kick from Black.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

and Silakka counters with a takedown into side control.
Black parries the strikes from Silakka easily there. Silakka is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Black to escape.

Black is looking for a sweep.

Silakka thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Silakka working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.

Black is trying to improve his position.
An elbow from Silakka crashes against the mat.
Silakka has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Silakka throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Black works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.
Silakka thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Black's head.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Silakka looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Silakka throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Silakka scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Black is trying to stand.
Silakka is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.

Black kicks Silakka off and gets back to his feet.

Silakka tries to bum rush Black with a series of wild strikes but Black uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Lucas Black is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Black thows a leg kick but Silakka checks it

and Silakka counters by clinching up.
Silakka goes for a takedown attempt but Black pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Black does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Silakka fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Black misses with a series of wild punches.

Black moves out of range of the strikes.
Black scores with a hook to the body. Silakka takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Silakka displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Black throws out the jab.
Silakka throws a sloppy head kick
and Black counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Silakka falls off balance throwing a combination
and Silakka takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Black closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Silakka throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Black sees it coming and avoids it easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Timo Silakka showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The fighters circling - Silakka throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Black throws a nice looking combination but Silakka bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Black swings for the body but Silakka moves out of range.
Silakka connects with a right hand. Black shakes it off.
Silakka throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Silakka might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Black misses with a double jab

and Silakka counters with a single leg into guard. Black didn't expect that.
Silakka wants to control from the top but Black keeps moving.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Silakka accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Black wants to stand up but Silakka is controlling him.
Black keeping full guard, as Silakka tries to pass.
Silakka works a leg free and moves into half guard.

Silakka is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Silakka seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Black is trying to stand up here but Silakka is controlling him well.
Silakka throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Silakka throws a strike but Black avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
Silakka landing with the ground and pound.
Silakka trying to control the position from guard on top but Black is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Silakka postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Black is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Silakka, into his guard.
Silakka takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Black decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Silakka, up you get!

Black finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

and Silakka counters with a left and a right that stings Black.
Silakka fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Lucas Black is winning the standup battle so far.
Black is looking to land body kicks.

Timo Silakka comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Silakka has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
