The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Young connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Young tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Hooah with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Young to score with a decent uppercut.

Young gets a takedown into half guard.

Young is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Hooah is looking to improve his position.

Hooah works his way to full guard. Good work.
Young stopping the sweep attempt from Hooah.

Hooah escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Young gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Hooah is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Young wants to stand and escape but instead Hooah has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Hooah is on top in guard.

Young is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Hooah is just riding it out for now. Young eventually gives up the hold.

Hooah is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Young escapes and gets back to his feet.
Young throws a head kick but Hooah moves out of range.

so Young counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
