Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Josh Madsen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brutus Baltazar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brutus Baltazar looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A lazy left from Baltazar finds it's target.
Madsen ducks right into an uppercut from Baltazar.

Baltazar drives through and clinches with Madsen against the cage.

Madsen has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Baltazar uses from the top position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Madsen takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

Madsen looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Baltazar stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Baltazar wants it to stay on the feet.

Baltazar has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.

Madsen is pressed up against the cage. Baltazar has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Madsen down to the mat. Madsen avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Baltazar moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

Baltazar throws a nice looking combination but Madsen bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Baltazar is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Madsen had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
