Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Gustavo Showman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Oren Hunter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Showman shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Hunter but Hunter pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Hunter fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Showman sprawls well initially but Hunter persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Showman wants to control but Hunter is keeping busy.

Hunter seems to be working for a kimura but Showman defends the submission attempt.
Showman keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

Hunter looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Hunter tries to pass to full mount but Showman defends it.

Showman is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Hunter pulls his head out easily.

Hunter is looking for a kimura but Showman is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Hunter to get the leverage.
Hunter passes the guard and advances to mount!

Hunter goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Showman is on top in guard.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Showman slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Showman tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Showman has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Hunter is looking to regain half guard here but Showman keeps moving and retains side control.

Showman goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Hunter rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Showman's guard! Nice work there by Hunter!
Showman wants to sweep but no luck.
Hunter with a flurry of punches that miss.
Hunter wants to pass the guard but Showman is keeping the position.

Showman trying to keep a closed guard but Hunter is proving a slippery customer.
Hunter postures up and lands a big shot to Showman's brow.

Showman knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Hunter on the ground.

Showman is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Hunter's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Hunter's back!

Showman is controlling the position but Hunter somehow manages to roll and ends up with half guard.

Showman seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Hunter does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Showman decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

That was a close round but I would say that Gustavo Showman will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Hunter walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Showman checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

Showman has managed to clinch.
Showman lands a body punch.

Showman drags the fight down to the ground.
Showman is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Hunter is pushing down on Showman's leg trying to pass to half guard. Showman is fighting to maintain full guard but Hunter has managed to sneak the leg through.
Hunter wants to pass to mount but Showman is defending the position.
Hunter throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Hunter in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Showman tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Hunter!
