Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Chico Corrales (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roger Parker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Corrales comes into the arena with Lets Stay Together - Al Green blaring out of the sound system. Chico Corrales has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Chico Corrales!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Roger Parker!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Corrales ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
A big left from Parker misses.
Corrales throws a series of punches but Parker moves out of range.
Parker showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Corrales.
Parker swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Corrales looks to land a combination but Parker avoids it well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Parker is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Corrales.
Corrales throws a nice looking combination but Parker bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

A looping hook to the body misses from Corrales. Parker does a little dance to reset his feet.
Corrales misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Parker.
Parker avoids a punch combination nicely.
Corrales rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Parker moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Parker fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Corrales has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Parker tries to clinch up.
Parker fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Parker pushes Corrales up against the cage in a clinch.
Parker throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Corraless head.
Corrales blocks a body shot from Parker.
Parker tries to throw a body punch but Corrales avoids it by throwing Parker back against the cage.
Corrales wants to break free but Parker has control.
Parker manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Parker receives a warning from the referee for stalling.
Parker lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Corrales or not.
The referee calls for Parker to work.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Parker is leaning against Corrales and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
Corrales can't break the clinch.
Corrales takes an elbow to the temple.
Parker prevents Corrales from breaking the clinch.
Corrales tries to break free but Parker pushes him back against the cage.
Parker makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Parker gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.


It looks like Chico Corrales has been cut.
Parker lands with a left to the head.
Parker swings wildly with an uppercut but Corrales uses good head movement to avoid it.
Corrales blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Parker presses Corrales against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Parker is pushing Corrales up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

Parker goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Parker lands an elbow just above Corrales 's eye.
Parker misses with a body punch.
Parker lands a nice shot to the body.
Corrales really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Parker lands a left hand.
Parker scores with a shoulder strike.
Parker lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
Parker throws a punch but it's blocked by Corrales.
Parker tries to work over Corrales's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
A short uppercut from Parker.
Corrales blocks a body shot from Parker.
A frustrated look appears on Corrales's face as he tries to break the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Roger Parker dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Chico Corrales's cut.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Corrales slips a straight right by Parker.

Parker has closed the distance and engaged Corrales in a clinch.
Parker controlling the action here for a moment.
Parker continues to stall. The referee tells him to work or he's going to break them up.
Parker lands a body punch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Corrales wants to break free but Parker has control.
Corrales blocks an elbow strike from Parker.
Parker swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Corrales blocks a body shot from Parker.

Parker lands an elbow just above Corrales 's eye.
Parker swings wildly with an uppercut but Corrales uses good head movement to avoid it.
Corrales tries to break free but Parker pushes him back against the cage.
Parker doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Corrales wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Parker tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Corrales's elbow.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Parker misses with a hook from the clinch.
Parker lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Corrales can't break the clinch.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Parker.
Parker missing with knees to the body.
Parker lands an elbow inside that Corrales shrugs off.
Parker tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Parker lands a right hand that snaps the head of Corrales backwards.

Corrales breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Parker slips a jab and a cross from Corrales.
A solid body kick from Parker.

Danga de danga de dang - Corrales scores with a four punch combination!
Parker shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Corrales keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Parker.
Corrales throws a right and a left that Parker avoids nicely.
Corrales takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
The fighters circling - Parker throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Parker shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Corrales manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Corrales is trying to keep Parker in close.
Parker slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Corrales will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Parker pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Corrales is keeping the position for now.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Roger Parker showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!


Parker moves in looking to clinch but Corrales pushes him off.
Corrales missing with a left hand there. Parker was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Parker tries a head kick but it misses.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Parker.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Corrales throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Parker counters with a thumping low kick.
Corrales falls off balance throwing a combination
and Parker counters with a stiff right hand.

Parker feints and then cracks Corrales's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Corrales down.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Parker.
Good shot there by Parker.
Chico Corrales is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Parker thumps Corrales with a low kick.
Parker thows a left - swing and a miss!
Parker looks to land a body kick but Corrales moved away.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Parker tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Corrales paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Corrales takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Parker throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Corrales.
Parker misses with an uppercut. Corrales saw that one coming.
Parker getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Parker misses with a straight right.
Corrales scores with a hook.

Parker with a jab.
Parker stalks Corrales and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Corrales's face. Corrales staggers backwards, shaken.


Corrales is rocked!
Corrales throws a series of punches but Parker avoids them all with ease.
Corrales throws a left and a right that both miss
and Parker makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Roger Parker is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Parker fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Corrales on the side of the head.
Corrales throws a combination that misses

and Parker counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Parker is controlling the pace.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Chico Corrales has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Corrales tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Parker has advanced to mount. Uh oh.

And that's the end of the fight!
Roger Parker comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Parker has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
