Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bill Dance (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeff Lebowski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lebowski is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Europe - The Final Countdown. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bill Dance!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jeff Lebowski!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dance blocks a jab.
Lebowski throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Lebowski uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Dance.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Dance fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Lebowski sprawls well initially but Dance persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Dance with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Dance wants to pass the guard but Lebowski is defending well.
Lebowski avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Dance.
Dance wants to lay and pray for a moment but Lebowski keeps working.
Dance trying to control from Lebowski's half guard. Lebowski has other ideas though and has regained full guard.
Lebowski is looking to stand up but Dance isn't so interested in that idea.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Dance pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Lebowski is keeping the position for now.
Dance throws a strike but Lebowski rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dance keeping busy, throwing shots from the bottom.
Dance looking to control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lebowski controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Dance looking to hit a scissor sweep but Lebowski is one step ahead there.
Lebowski controls from within his opponent's guard.
Lebowski slips nicely into half guard, despite the strikes coming from Dance.
Lebowski is taking a breather. Dance says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Dance wants to get back to full guard but Lebowski has mounted him!

Lebowski is looking for a kimura but Dance is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Lebowski to get the leverage.

The fighters are battling for position here. Dance manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Dance looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Dance seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

That was a close round but I would say that Bill Dance will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

and Dance counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

and Dance counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Dance.

Dance looking to sit in guard and control but Lebowski gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Dance throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Dance is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Lebowski wants to stand but Dance has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Dance looking to hit a scissor sweep but Lebowski is one step ahead there.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Dance lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Lebowski!
Lebowski is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
Dance putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!

Dance throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Dance misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Dance wants to control but Lebowski has made it back to half guard. Nice work.
Dance thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Dance wants to pass the guard but Lebowski is defending well.

Bill Dance dominated that second round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!


Dance takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Dance throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Jeff Lebowski is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

and Dance counters with a straight punch to the midsection.

Dance lands a jab to Lebowski's midsection.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Lebowski throws a right hand that Dance ducks under and follows up with a left that Dance also avoids with ease.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Dance fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Dance looks to score with a jab to the body but Lebowski is just out of range.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Lebowski takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Dance is looking to wear down Lebowski with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Lebowski lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Lebowski swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Lebowski takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Jeff Lebowski has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Dance takes a swing at Lebowski's ribcage but misses.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Lebowski moves out of range as Dance strikes.

And that's the end of the fight!
Bill Dance showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Dance has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
