The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Larter connects with a good right hand that stumbles Kaneko. Kaneko circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Kaneko is trying hard to land a takedown here. Larter sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Kaneko takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

That was a close round but I would say that Peppin Larter will probably get the nod.
