Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
10 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Shina Aoyki!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Terry Krom!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Shigeki Sano and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aoyki uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Krom.
Aoyki throws a leg kick but Krom checks it.
Aoyki closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Krom quickly recovers to half guard.
Krom wants to get back to his feet.
Krom is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Krom trying to hold on to Aoyki's head to control him but Aoyki postures up.
Aoyki is working for a submission of some sort.
Aoyki tries to pass to full mount but Krom defends it.
Aoyki thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Krom's head.
Aoyki throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Krom is trying to stand.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Aoyki is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Krom has managed to free his arm - good work.

Krom taking some punishment here, with Aoyki in his half guard.
Aoyki is looking to take a break and control but Krom is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Aoyki wants to free his trapped foot but Krom is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Aoyki uses his free foot to push down on Krom's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Krom.
Aoyki won't let Krom get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.

BOOM! Aoyki connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Aoyki fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Aoyki lands a heavy elbow.
Aoyki has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
