Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dean Aldridge (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Julian Reis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Julian Reis is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Dean Aldridge!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Julian Reis!
The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Luis Engracia and Mauricio Rocha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Aldridge gets the takedown into side control.
Reis looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Aldridge trying to control the action but Reis is working from the bottom.
Aldridge lands an elbow.
Aldridge lands a decent elbow from side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Aldridge is trying to get an arm triangle but Reis is defending well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Aldridge scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Reis to see if he's OK.

Aldridge decides to stand up, so the ref orders Reis to his feet.
Reis has his takedown stuffed

and Aldridge counters by moving into the clinch.

Aldridge breaks the clinch.

Aldridge moves into range and clinches up with Reis.
Reis tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Aldridge jumps into guard, dragging Reis to the mat.
Aldridge has Reis pulled in close to control his posture.
Aldridge trying to control the position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Aldridge wants to sweep but no luck.
Aldridge is pulling down on Reis's head to control his posture.
Aldridge tries to land a sweep but no joy.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Dean Aldridge.

Aldridge gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Aldridge has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Reis is trying to keep an underhook but Aldridge manages to get the takedown into half guard.

Reis has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Aldridge. Oh but Reis has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Aldridge goes limp - he's gone! Reis jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Julian Reis!
