Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Steven Heron (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Urijah Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Heron lands a high kick!

Heron manages to work his way to half guard, despite Silva's best efforts.
Silva thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Heron wants to get back to his feet.

Silva wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Heron, who protects the arm well.

Heron is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Silva asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Silva is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Silva is looking to take a break and control but Heron is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Silva advances nicely into full mount.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Heron can't escape the position.

Heron tries to lock up and control but Silva gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Silva unloads with some shots from mount but Heron bucks and avoids them well.
Silva has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Heron is trying to reverse the position but instead Silva has taken his back - oops!
Silva is throwing strikes by Heron counters by rolling into a better position. After a scramble, Heron regains half guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Silva circles away from the clinch attempt.
Steven Heron seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Heron moves in looking to clinch but Silva pushes him off.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Silva.
Heron managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Silva.
Heron wants to get back to his feet.

Silva stands up and beckons Heron to his feet.
Steven Heron is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Silva slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Heron tries to improve position but can't.

Silva is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Heron knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Urijah Silva dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Heron misses with a jab, cross combination.
Heron really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Silva stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Heron.
Silva shoots in looking for a takedown. Heron tries to sprawl out of it but Silva keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Heron manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Silva changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Heron tries to avoid it but Silva manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Heron to the ground. Heron escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Steven Heron is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Silva checks a leg kick.
Silva shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Heron pinned against the cage. Heron gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Steven Heron has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Urijah Silva.
Heron feints and then cracks Silva's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Silva down.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Heron throws a leg kick which misses Silva's front leg but catches the back leg as Silva tries to avoid it.
A clash of legs there as Silva blocks the low kick.
Heron lands a nice leg kick that just misses Silva's sensitive parts.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Silva closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Silva wants to finish this one by submission but Heron is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Silva.

Silva jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Heron manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Silva is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Heron knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Silva is staying tight to Heron's torso, preventing him from escaping.
