PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Magnus Voltron (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Antoni Hardonk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Voltron comes into the arena with Get to the Choppa blaring out of the sound system. Hardonk is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Requiem for a dream. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hardonk gets a takedown into half guard.

Hardonk is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Voltron defends well.

Hardonk has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Voltron can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Hardonk tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Voltron counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Hardonk changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Voltron tries to avoid it but Hardonk manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Voltron to the ground. Voltron escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Voltron is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.
Hardonk lands a couple of good shots to his opponent's body and a final shot to the head. Good little attack there by Hardonk.

Hardonk is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Voltron knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Voltron for a finish.

Hardonk is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Voltron is defending well though. Hardonk let's go of the attempt for now.

Voltron is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.

Voltron is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Hardonk gets his way!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
