PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jim Beam (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johny Bravo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Beam might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to The Gambler. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jim Beam!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Johny Bravo!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Aafke Stam and Nard Betker.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Beam dives in and grabs Bravo's left leg, looking for a takedown. Bravo pushes down on Beam's head and hops out.
Beam really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Bravo moves in looking to clinch but Beam pushes him off.
Beam misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Beam keeps the fight on the outside.
Jim Beam seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bravo throws a right and a left that Beam avoids nicely.
Bravo pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Bravo tries to clinch up.
Bravo buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Nice sprawl there from Bravo as Beam shoots in.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Bravo really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Beam. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Bravo is keen to just control but Beam is a slippery customer.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Johny Bravo wasn't active enough on the ground.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Beam tries to score a power double leg takedown but Bravo sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Beam somewhat.

Bravo fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Beam, pushing him back against the ropes.

Bravo has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Beam clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Bravo tries to keep control of the position but Beam is staying busy.
Bravo looking to soften up his opponent with punches.
So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.

Beam covering up well under a barage of strikes.

Bravo is throwing punches to the body, looking to soften Beam up.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Johny Bravo comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Bravo has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
