Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ted Blank (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and kevin day (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

day fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Blank, pushing him back against the cage.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Blank just misses with a elbow thrown towards day's brow.
Blank wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Blank tries to break the clinch but day is controlling the position.

day drags the fight down to the ground.
Blank stays in close to day's body and controls the position.
Blank tries to free his leg and advance position but day is retaining full guard.

Blank thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
day not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Blank trying to control but day is working from the bottom.
day lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Blank!
Blank tries to reverse the position but day maintains control.
day looking to control but Blank is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Blank bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

day really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Blank. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Blank wants to control from the top but day keeps moving.

Blank thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
day is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Blank drops back looking for a leg! day is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and day manages to kick Blank off! Blank jumps back into day's guard.

Blank postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! day is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Blank, into his guard.

Blank really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

day won't allow Blank to get back to his feet.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Blank has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think day should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Blank has tightened it up now! day should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
