Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Franko Fernando (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Max Mordor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Mordor shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Fernando napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Mordor seems to be looking to move to his opponent's back but Fernando is holding on tight.

Mordor goes for an armbar but Fernando turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Fernando.

Fernando drops back looking for a leg! Mordor is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Mordor manages to kick Fernando off! Fernando jumps back into Mordor's guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Fernando stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Mordor swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Mordor fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Fernando avoids it really well and circles away.
Fernando throws a half hearted mid kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Fernando tries to close the distance and clinch up but Mordor swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Mordor is breathing heavily.

Mordor wants to finish this one by submission but Fernando is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Mordor.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fernando is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Mordor wants to take Fernando's back here but Fernando is holding on to an arm, himself looking to escape.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Mordor prevents Fernando from getting the reversal.
Mordor misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

Mordor is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Fernando has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Fernando!

Mordor is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Mordor stops Fernando from getting back to his feet.
Mordor works his foot free and advances to mount.

Mordor is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Fernando is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Fernando flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Mordor anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Fernando and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Mordor slips an arm under Fernando chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Mordor has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Mordor is squeezing on Fernando like an anaconda would it's prey. Fernando fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
