The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ribeirao looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Maeda!
Maeda looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Ribeirao takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Ribeirao thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.
Maeda is looking to get to half guard.
Ribeirao is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Maeda to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Maeda shrugs it off.
Ribeirao is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Ribeirao extends the arm and Maeda is forced to tap!
