Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Andrei Sosnowski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and ryu zaBuza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Andrei Sosnowski!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, ryu zaBuza!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Frank Dennis and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sosnowski has a takedown stuffed.
zaBuza stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and zaBuza wants it to stay on the feet.
A left and a right from zaBuza both land. Nice combination.
Horrible takedown by Sosnowski or perhaps it was just good defense by zaBuza which made him look bad.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Andrei Sosnowski. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Sosnowski tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but zaBuza paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Sosnowski shoots in for a takedown but zaBuza shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Andrei Sosnowski seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sosnowski fails with an attempt to clinch.
A chopping leg kick lands by zaBuza.
zaBuza scores with a nice body kick.
zaBuza scores with a head kick.
zaBuza tries a head kick but it misses.

zaBuza shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Sosnowski manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
zaBuza controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

zaBuza trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Sosnowski had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. zaBuza defends it easily.
zaBuza is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Sosnowski tries to land a sweep but no joy.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Sosnowski is working hard here to advance position.
zaBuza throwing strikes but missing.
zaBuza makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
zaBuza controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Sosnowski keeping moving, preventing zaBuza from controlling successfully.
Sosnowski has a closed guard, preventing zaBuza from standing up.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Sosnowski misses with a takedown attempt

and zaBuza counters with a shoot takedown. Sosnowski fights it but they end up in guard.

Sosnowski throws his legs up looking for a submission but zaBuza uses it to pass to side control.
Sosnowski is breathing heavily.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
zaBuza tries to advance to mount but Sosnowski denies him.
Sosnowski wants to control but zaBuza postures up.

Sosnowski is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
zaBuza wants to control but Sosnowski is keeping him busy.
Sosnowski trying to remain calm as zaBuza controls from the top position.
Sosnowski is looking to work his way out of this bad position but zaBuza is controlling him well.
zaBuza happy to just control the position for now.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

ryu zaBuza dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



zaBuza drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Sosnowski tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but zaBuza wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
zaBuza tries to stand but Sosnowski is controlling his head.
Sosnowski is trying to control zaBuza's posture but zaBuza avoids it.
Sosnowski is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Sosnowski wants to get back to his feet.
Sosnowski wants to control but zaBuza postures up.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Sosnowski manages to get back to half guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
zaBuza trying to pass the guard but Sosnowski defending well.
zaBuza is thwarting Sosnowski's attempts to control the position.
Sosnowski looks like he's trying to stand up.

Sosnowski looking for submissions off his back.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Sosnowski looks like he's trying to stand up.
zaBuza wants to pass the guard but Sosnowski is defending well.
zaBuza really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sosnowski. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Sosnowski misses with some strikes from the bottom.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Sosnowski doesn't succeed with the takedown

and zaBuza counters with a single leg into guard. Sosnowski didn't expect that.
Sosnowski keeping full guard, as zaBuza tries to pass.
Sosnowski is trying to control the position from the bottom.
zaBuza wants to control from the top but Sosnowski keeps moving.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

zaBuza wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Sosnowski's closed guard. He's half up but Sosnowski has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Sosnowski pivots and extends the arm, zaBuza falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Sosnowski! Well done that man!
