Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dwayne Oxylon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Duane Dibbley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dwayne Oxylon had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Dwayne Oxylon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Duane Dibbley!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Hirohito Nitta and Yasuomi Hirokawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dibbley wants to clinch up but Oxylon keeps it at a distance.
Dibbley closes this distance looking for a takedown but Oxylon circles away.

Dibbley closes the distance and pushes Oxylon back into the cage.

Oxylon breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Oxylon swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Dibbley shoots in for a takedown but Oxylon shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Dibbley is defended easily by Oxylon.
Dwayne Oxylon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Duane Dibbley.
No luck for Dibbley with that takedown attempt.
Dibbley shoots in looking for a takedown but Oxylon manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Dibbley's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Dibbley shoots in looking for a takedown. Oxylon tries to sprawl out of it but Dibbley keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Oxylon manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

Oxylon goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

Oxylon lands a left hand that snaps the head of Dibbley backwards.
Dibbley is trying to force a seperation but Oxylon has the dominant position.
Oxylon presses Dibbley against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.

Oxylon lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.

Duane Dibbley seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Oxylon lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Dibbley circles away quickly and effectively.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Dibbley is trying to maintain a safe position but Oxylon gets an underhook and turns Dibbley into the cage.
Oxylon lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.

Oxylon changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Oxylon ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Dibbley moves away.

No joy there for Oxylon, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Dibbley is looking to clinch.
Oxylon swings for the body but Dibbley moves out of range.
Oxylon lands a jab-cross combination.
Dibbley tries for a takedown but Oxylon sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Oxylon lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.

Oxylon fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Dibbley on the side of the head.
Oxylon fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Dibbley manages to avoid it.

Dibbley drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Oxylon on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Oxylon tries to get out of the position.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Dibbley thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Oxylon's head.

Dwayne Oxylon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Duane Dibbley.
Dibbley changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Oxylon tries to avoid it but Dibbley manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Oxylon to the ground. Oxylon escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dibbley tries to close the distance and clinch but Oxylon swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Oxylon is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.

Dibbley is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Oxylon is surviving well by controlling Dibbley's body position as best he can.
Oxylon wants to try and get back to his feet.

Dibbley is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Oxylon to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Oxylon shrugs it off.
Dibbley can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Oxylon is looking to escape.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Dibbley looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Oxylon knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Dibbley on the ground.
Dibbley thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!

Oxylon wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
Dibbley lands a heavy elbow.
Dibbley wants to control the pace but Oxylon is squirming around nicely.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Oxylon really wants to buck Dibbley off and get back to his feet.
Dibbley cracks Oxylon with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Oxylon is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

Dibbley is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Oxylon can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Dibbley has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Dibbley swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Oxylon is now in Dibbley's guard. A big mistake from Dibbley there, giving up the dominant position!
Oxylon wants to stand but Dibbley has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Duane Dibbley showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. And we move into the final round!



Dibbley rushes Oxylon and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Dibbley tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Oxylon smiles and moves away.

Oxylon gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Dibbley has gone for a leg lock! Oxylon slips out almost immediately though and dives into Dibbley's guard.

Dibbley working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Oxylon doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Dibbley is tightening it up a little... Oxylon has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Oxylon reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Oxylon taps out! nice BJJ there by Dibbley!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:49 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Duane Dibbley!
