The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sapursky blocks a head kick by Sato.
Sato looks for the body kick but Sapursky saw that one coming.
Sato buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Sato avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Sapursky misses with a takedown attempt - Sato sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Sato throws a nice inside leg kick.

Sapursky decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Sapursky is keen to just control but Sato is a slippery customer.
Sapursky working over Sato with some ground and pound. Sato looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Sato is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Sapursky's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Sapursky's back!
Sapursky is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Sato off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted.

Sapursky defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Sato's arms.
Sapursky just trying to survive but Sato is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.

Sapursky tries to roll but Sato sticks to his back.
Sapursky is trapped and Sato is scoring with shots to the head and body.
Sato misses with a punch to the head.
Sapursky has his hands over his head blocking the strikes from Sato.
Sapursky covering up well under a series of strikes from Sato.

Sato looking for the choke but no joy.
Sapursky grimaces as he takes a shot to the body.
Sato throwing lazy shots from the back mount that aren't doing any damage.

Sato has Sapursky flattened out and is raining down punches.
