Burban comes to the cage accompanied by Viva La Vida. Thompson has chosen All The Above as his entrance music. Justin Burban has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burban fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Thompson stuffs the takedown attempt from Burban. Burban gets slowly back to his feet.
Burban will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Justin Burban. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Burban throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Thompson's waist but Thompson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Burban off to one side.
Burban shoots for a double leg takedown but Thompson sprawls well. He's pushed Burban's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Thompson lands with a kick to the ribs.
Burban is breathing heavily.
Thompson lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Thompson circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Burban drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Thompson follows Burban to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!
