Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gustavo Ribeiro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dustin Smash (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Smash has chosen Karazy- Swamp Music as his entrance music. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Gustavo Ribeiro!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dustin Smash!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, William Peck and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smash closes the distance and clinches up with Ribeiro, looking for a takedown. Smash pushes Ribeiro against the cage but Ribeiro circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Ribeiro misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Ribeiro defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Smash.
Smash stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Smash wants it to stay on the feet.
Smash misses with a two punch combination.
Smash throws a head kick that half lands.
Smash throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.


It looks like Gustavo Ribeiro has been cut.
Ribeiro shoots in for a double leg but Smash sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Nice uppercut lands for Ribeiro. That snapped Smash's head back.
Horrible takedown by Smash or perhaps it was just good defense by Ribeiro which made him look bad.

Smash darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Ribeiro pushes Smash off and gets back to his feet.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
A head kick from Ribeiro lands but Smash takes it in his stride.

Smash seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Ribeiro does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Ribeiro regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Smash.
Ribeiro could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Ribeiro has his foot on Smash's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Smash works his way back into a safe position though.

Smash shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Ribeiro defends it nicely.
Ribeiro changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Smash tries to avoid it but Ribeiro manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Smash to the ground. Smash escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Smash shoots in but Ribeiro avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Ribeiro tries to clinch there but Smash circles away.

and Smash counters with a nice double leg into side control. Ribeiro won't be happy with that.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Smash with shots to the head and body - Ribeiro looks very uncomfortable down there.
Smash sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

Ribeiro is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.

Ribeiro slaps away a takedown attempt from Smash, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Ribeiro will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Ribeiro gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Smash to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Ribeiro shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Smash but Smash pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Smash throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Smash shoots in and bounces Ribeiro off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

I've got Smash winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
