PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ramiz Traktor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brock Steiner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Traktor's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Dies Irae. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Emerson Jorge and Paulo Santos.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Steiner, as that shot connected.
The fighters circling - Steiner throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Traktor takes one on the chin but seems OK.

Traktor feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Traktor slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Traktor is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Traktor stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Steiner swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Steiner is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Traktor shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Steiner as he jumps to the side.
Steiner misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Traktor moves out of range of the body kick.
Steiner throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Traktor walks into a jab.

It looks like Ramiz Traktor has been cut.
Traktor is breathing heavily.
Steiner misses with a head kick.
Traktor avoids the head kick by Steiner.
Steiner throws a half hearted mid kick.
Steiner misses with an uppercut. Traktor saw that one coming.
Steiner goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Steiner motions for Traktor to come forward. Steiner throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Steiner scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Traktor doesn't seem bothered though.
Steiner throws a head kick that misses.
Steiner misses with a head kick.
Steiner works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

Traktor misses with a jab, cross combination.
Steiner throws a sloppy head kick and Traktor moves out of range easily.
Steiner fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Traktor is out of range.
Steiner throws out a powerful jab.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Traktor dodges the punch combination from Steiner.
Traktor lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Traktor fails with the takedown.
Steiner lands an overhand right.
Steiner throws a shot from downtown. Traktor moves away and avoids it.

Traktor shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Traktor was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Traktor is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Steiner is surviving well by controlling Traktor's body position as best he can.
Steiner really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Traktor. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Traktor can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Steiner is looking to escape.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Steiner is wriggling around trying to escape.
Traktor looking to control and managing it successfully.
Traktor pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Steiner tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Traktor scoring with strikes but Steiner is staying in there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Steiner wants to control but Traktor is having none of it.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Traktor's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Steiner throws a right and a left that Traktor avoids nicely.

Traktor shoots in and bounces Steiner off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Traktor pushes down on Steiner's leg and manages to get into half guard.

Traktor has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Steiner defend it? Traktor steps over the head and cranks it - Steiner is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Traktor!
