The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Black shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Maddox but Maddox pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Black feints and as Maddox raises his hands in defense, Black changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Black swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Maddox is now in Black's guard. A big mistake from Black there, giving up the dominant position!
