Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Billy Bill (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lee Skillett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Billy Bill!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lee Skillett!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Daniel Franklin and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bill drives through with a takedown into guard.
Bill postures up.
Bill won't allow Skillett to sweep him here.
Bill pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Skillett is keeping the position for now.

Skillett working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Bill has passed into half guard!
Skillett wants to improve his position but Bill is controlling well.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Bill content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Skillett wants to control but Bill is keeping busy.

Skillett pushes Bill off but Bill dives into side control.
You can see the frustration on Skillett's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Bill shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Skillett's guard.
Bill controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Skillett is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Bill is aware though and is defending well.
Bill postures up.
Bill won't allow Skillett to sweep him here.

Bill trying to control but Skillett is working from the bottom.

Bill shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Skillett sprawls well. Skillett wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Bill gets slowly back to his feet.
Skillett is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
The fight stays on the outside here - Skillett looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Skillett doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Bill decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Skillett's guard.
Skillett wants to control but Bill passes easily into half guard.
Skillett is looking for a sweep. Bill is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Skillett trying to hold on to Bill's head to control him but Bill postures up.
Skillett is trying to stand back up but Bill is controlling him
Bill works his way into full mount!
Bill trying to control but he's not successful this time.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Skillett regains half guard.
Skillett is trying to get back to full guard.
Skillett wants to control but Bill is keeping busy.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Bill blocks the strikes from Skillett.
Bill trying to control from half guard but Skillett is working away.
Skillett gets back to full guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Skillett looking to hit a scissor sweep but Bill is one step ahead there.
Bill won't allow Skillett to get back to his feet.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Bill controlling from the top position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Skillett tries to clinch but Bill is having none of it.

Bill closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Skillett did well to prevent Bill getting side control.
Skillett regains full guard. Nicely done.
Bill controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Skillett is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

Bill wants to control from the top but Skillett keeps moving.
Bill won't allow Skillett to sweep him here.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Skillett keeping moving, preventing Bill from controlling successfully.

Skillett looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Bill advances position into side control!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Skillett struggling a bit here.
Skillett might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Bill kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Bill decides to take the fight back to the feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Bill throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Skillett's waist but Skillett gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Bill off to one side.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Skillett keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Bill shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Skillett pinned against the cage. Skillett gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Bill defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Skillett.
Skillett defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Bill.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Billy Bill. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Bill tries for a takedown but Skillett sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Skillett tries to close the distance and clinch up but Bill swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Bill changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Skillett tries to avoid it but Bill manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Skillett to the ground. Skillett escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Skillett wants to clinch

and Bill decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Skillett's guard.
Lee Skillett has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Bill is posturing up here but Skillett has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Bill tries to roll out but it's too tight and Bill has to tap! Slick submission there by Skillett!
