The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maurice defending well as Rogers loads up on a big left hand.
Rogers throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

It looks like Kenneth Maurice has been cut.
No joy there for Maurice, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Rogers slaps away a takedown attempt from Maurice, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Rogers looks to score with a jab to the body but Maurice is just out of range.
A looping hook to the body misses from Rogers. Maurice does a little dance to reset his feet.
