The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Cafu is defended easily by Torregrossa.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Cafu.

Cafu drops back, looking for a kneebar! Torregrossa looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Torregrossa looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Torregrossa!

Torregrossa stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Torregrossa is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Torregrossa is pressed up against the cage. Cafu has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Torregrossa down to the mat. Torregrossa avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Cafu feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Edmilson Cafu is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Cafu is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
