The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
sarai takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Stan Darsh seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Darsh tries to bum rush sarai with a series of wild strikes but sarai uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Darsh misses with a head kick.
Darsh ducks down and throws a hook to the body but sarai moves away.
Darsh misses with a jab, cross combination.
sarai pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Nice sprawl there from Darsh as sarai shoots in.
Darsh tries to bum rush sarai with a series of wild strikes but sarai uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Darsh misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
sarai closes the distance and clinches up with Darsh, looking for a takedown. sarai pushes Darsh against the cage but Darsh circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Darsh moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

sarai closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Darsh is not content to let sarai control the position.

Darsh swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Darsh is breathing heavily.
sarai closes this distance looking for a takedown but Darsh circles away.
Stan Darsh has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of steven sarai .
sarai is trying hard to land a takedown here. Darsh sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
sarai throws the kick towards the body but Darsh avoids it.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Darsh fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. sarai sprawls well initially but Darsh persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Darsh thows a huge punch but sarai dodges it nicely.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Darsh darts in and clinches sarai up against the cage.

Darsh keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of sarai 's head.

Darsh is sitting in close to sarai 's body. sarai has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Darsh is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Darsh is tapping! That was a very nice submission by sarai .
