Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Tiny Johnson and Robert Twigg.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

NESS closes the distance and pushes killa back into the cage.
killa looking to throw knees to the head but NESS is blocking nicely.
With the fighters up against the cage, killa throws an elbow but misses.
NESS tries to pull guard but killa holds him up against the cage and eventually NESS drops back down to his feet.
NESS is pressed up against the cage. killa has hold of a leg and is looking to drag NESS down to the mat. NESS avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
NESS shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with killa but killa pushes him off and we're back to square one.

and NESS counters with a nice double leg into guard.
NESS wants to get up but he can't break killa 's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
killa knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for NESS on the ground.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
NESS slaps away a takedown attempt from killa , before circling back to the center of the mat.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

and killa counters with a straight right hand.

It looks like BIZZ NESS has been cut.
killa fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
killa leaves NESS with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

and killa connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
killa closes the distance and clinches up with NESS, looking for a takedown. killa pushes NESS against the cage but NESS circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
killa tries to clinch up but NESS circles away and keeps his distance.
killa shoots for a takedown but NESS saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

and killa counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

NESS is breathing heavily.

killa uses his free foot to push down on NESS's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for NESS.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
killa unloads with some shots from mount but NESS bucks and avoids them well.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

and NESS counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
killa wants to stand up but NESS is controlling him.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
killa is staying active underneath NESS, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
killa is not content to let NESS control the position.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by BIZZ NESS.

killa closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - killa lands in his opponent's guard.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to hella killa .
