Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Me Myself Irene (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason Montros (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Montros has chosen Eye of the Tiger - Survivor as his entrance music. Jason Montros acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Me Myself Irene!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jason Montros!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Summer Carpenter and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Montros lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Irene thows a body shot but no joy.
Good standup being displayed there by Montros as he connects with a hook.
Irene throws a head kick that misses.
Irene throws the left hand but Montros avoids the punch easily.
Irene blocks a low kick nicely.
Irene tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Irene pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Irene throws a head kick that misses.
Montros throws a half hearted mid kick.
Irene throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Montros on the side of the head.
Irene will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Irene walks into a left hand.
Irene tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Montros was well out of range. Poor timing from Irene.
Irene throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Montros.
Irene misses with an uppercut.
The fighters circling - Irene throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Montros tries a head kick but it misses.

Irene finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Irene looks to land a left hand but Montros moved out of range nicely.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Montros. Irene shrugs it off though.
Irene rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Montros moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Montros closes the distance and lands a one-two.
It looks like Me Myself Irene has been cut.
A jab from Irene misses.
Montros misses the shot to the body.
Montros goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Montros lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Montros takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Irene is looking to score with low kicks.
Montros chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Irene can pounce on him.
Montros throws a nice inside leg kick.
Montros steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Irene.
Montros closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Irene is trying to maintain the position but Montros is very close to passing his half guard.

Irene wants to hold on but Montros pushes him away.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
Montros has the hooks in. Irene is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
I really don't envy Irene right now.

and Montros counters with a shoot takedown. Irene fights it but they end up in guard.

Montros is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Irene to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Irene shrugs it off.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Montros cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Montros has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Irene's body.
Montros cracks Irene with a big shot to body and one to the head - really punishing Irene from the back mount here, looking to soften him up.
