PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Frank Lessnar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Boleslav Demidoff (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Lessnar might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Amazing. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Illya Tyunina and Valeri Chadov.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lessnar changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Demidoff tries to avoid it but Lessnar manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Demidoff to the ground. Demidoff escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
A punch lands to the side of Lessnar 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Lessnar looks to land a combination but Demidoff avoids it well.
Demidoff throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Lessnar counters with a big head kick but Demidoff shrugs it off.
Lessnar scores with a hook to the body. Demidoff takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Lessnar throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Demidoff's waist but Demidoff gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Lessnar off to one side.
Lessnar avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Lessnar darts in and clinches Demidoff up against the cage.
Demidoff tries for a takedown but Lessnar manages to get underhooks.
Lessnar tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Demidoff tries to score a body lock takedown but Lessnar shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Demidoff swings wildly with an uppercut but Lessnar uses good head movement to avoid it.
A nice right hand lands inside from Lessnar.

Lessnar gets a trip takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lessnar throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Lessnar not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Lessnar looks to land a strike but Demidoff avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
Lessnar missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Lessnar throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Demidoff works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Lessnar throws and elbow that misses. Demidoff uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Lessnar's guard. Nice move by Demidoff!

Lessnar is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but Demidoff frees his head nicely. Oh but Lessnar has switched to an armbar! Demidoff is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
