These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
smith tries to clinch but Alco moves out of range.
corrado smith seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Alco throws a nice looking combination but smith bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
smith tries to clinch but Alco is having none of it.
Alco closes the distance but smith moves to the side

and smith counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Alco is looking to control smith's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Alco avoid being mounted?
smith is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

smith escapes and gets back to his feet.
smith tries to close the distance and clinch up but Alco swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Alco looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? smith is fending him off so far but Alco persists. Nope, smith circles away and we're back to standing.

Alco tries a head kick but it misses.
Alco stuns smith with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

and smith counters with a series of strikes. Alco will be more careful next time no doubt.
smith doesn't manage to clinch there - Alco circles away.
smith lands a monster head kick that reverborates around the arena! The crowd goes wild as Alco crumples to the floor! smith milks the crowd's applause and if that isn't knockout of the night, I will be very surprised!
