The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Law looks to clinch
and Fernandez counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Fernandez misses with a few strikes there.
Fernandez will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

and Law takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

It looks like Robbie Law has been cut.

Law feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Law doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Fernandez counters with a stiff right hand.

Fernandez tries to score a power double leg takedown but Law sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Fernandez somewhat.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Law connects with a nice short shot to Fernandez's temple.
