Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between ben ahr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and BJ Barton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Barton has chosen Wildboyz Theme as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. ben ahr has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barton moves out of range of the strikes.
Barton closes this distance looking for a takedown but ahr circles away.

ahr looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
ahr trying to control from half guard but Barton is working away.

ahr is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Barton defends it well.
The fighters are battling for position here. Barton manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

ahr trying to control the position from guard on top but Barton is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Barton is pulling down on ahr's head to control his posture.
Barton's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by BJ Barton.

ahr shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
ahr tries to pass the half guard into mount. Barton knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Barton trying to control but ahr postures up.

ahr is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Barton doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time ahr.
ahr perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
ahr is breathing heavily.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
ahr missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
ahr wants to free his trapped foot but Barton is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Barton works his way to full guard. Good work.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Barton looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.

Barton doesn't succeed with the takedown

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
and ahr counters with a nice double leg into side control. Barton won't be happy with that.
Barton tries to buck ahr off but ahr is having none of it.
An elbow from ahr crashes against the mat.
Barton is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

ahr stands up and beckons Barton to his feet.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

ahr tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
ahr gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Barton counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Barton passes into half guard.
Barton frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
ahr working to try and regain half guard.

Barton wants to control the pace but ahr is squirming around nicely.

ahr is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Barton locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! ahr is forced to tap!
