Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Juan Escobar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kurt the wrestler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Escobar comes to the cage accompanied by Brujeria by La Coka Nostra. the wrestler has chosen Call On Me - Eric Pyrdz as his entrance music. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Escobar avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
the wrestler moves in looking to clinch but Escobar pushes him off.
Escobar moves away from the strike by the wrestler.
the wrestler shoots in for a takedown but Escobar shows good takedown defense.
the wrestler is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Escobar misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from the wrestler.
Escobar closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. the wrestler did well to prevent Escobar getting side control.
Escobar is thwarting the wrestler's attempts to control the position.

Escobar tries to move to mount but the wrestler blocks the move with his legs.
Escobar tries to score with some ground and pound. the wrestler controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

Escobar wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by the wrestler, who protects the arm well.
Escobar goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, the wrestler has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Escobar but great work by the wrestler.

the wrestler lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
the wrestler creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Escobar sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Escobar is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and the wrestler defends well.
Escobar escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. the wrestler gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. the wrestler connects with a nice short shot to Escobar's temple.

I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!
