Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between A Rowland (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Valkir Revent (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rowland comes to the cage accompanied by Can't Smile Without You. This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, A Rowland!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Valkir Revent!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Colin Fotheringham and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Revent throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Rowland stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Rowland is looking to clinch.
Rowland looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Rowland is breathing heavily.
Horrible takedown by Revent or perhaps it was just good defense by Rowland which made him look bad.

Revent decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Revent wants to get back to his feet.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Rowland trying to control here.
Rowland is trying to get back to full guard.
Revent wants to control but Rowland is keeping him busy.
Rowland tries to roll over but Revent keeps him under control.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Rowland gets caught flat footed, as Revent shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Revent wants to control from the top but Rowland keeps moving.
Rowland throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Rowland has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Rowland seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Revent for as long as he can get away with.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Rowland managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Revent.
Rowland is not content to let Revent control the position.
The strikes coming from Revent are missing the target in this wave of attacks.

Revent is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Revent lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Rowland down.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Revent throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

Revent feints and as Rowland raises his hands in defense, Revent changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

A Rowland has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Valkir Revent.
Revent drops down looking for an ankle pick but Rowland pulls his leg out and moves away.
Rowland takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

and Rowland counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Revent is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Rowland decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Revent changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Rowland tries to avoid it but Revent manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Rowland to the ground. Rowland escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Revent wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Revent is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Revent tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Revent is looking to break free of the clinch but Rowland has double underhooks.
Rowland is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

The fight stays on the outside here - Revent looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Rowland on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Revent. Revent obviously looking to wear him down.
Rowland shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Revent as he avoids it easily.

and Rowland counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Rowland.
Rowland with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Rowland is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Revent wants to sweep here but Rowland controlling him for the moment.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Revent is on top in guard.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Revent wants to pass the guard but Rowland is defending well.
