Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ron John (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Genku Chiba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
John looks to land a combination but Chiba avoids it well.
Chiba circles away from the clinch attempt.

John will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Chiba lands with a hook. John tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Chiba shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
John shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Chiba pinned against the cage. Chiba gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

John bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

John is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.

That was a close round but I would say that Ron John will probably get the nod.

Chiba leaves John with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Genku Chiba showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Genku Chiba comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Chiba has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
