The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Parker is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Johnson's half guard.

Johnson kicks off Parker and gets to his feet.
Parker shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Johnson defends it nicely.
Parker connects with a crisp jab.
Johnson misses with a takedown attempt - Parker sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Johnson drives through and clinches with Parker against the cage.

Johnson gets a trip takedown into half guard.
Johnson landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.

Parker is trying to stand up here but Johnson is controlling him well.

Parker knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Johnson on the ground.
Johnson looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Johnson is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Parker blocking the ground and pound attempt from Johnson.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Parker is trying to stand.

Johnson is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Parker has managed to free his arm - good work.
Johnson is trying to control. Parker wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Johnson is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Parker sees it coming and defends easily.
Parker pushes Johnson off looking to stand but Johnson dives back in and keeps control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Johnson is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Parker is just riding it out for now. Johnson eventually gives up the hold.
