Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Terry Morris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Travis Diggsby (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Morris comes into the arena with Neodammerung blaring out of the sound system. Travis Diggsby will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

With a record of 6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Travis Diggsby!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Frank Dennis and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Morris shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Morris scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Morris working over Diggsby with some ground and pound. Diggsby looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.


It looks like Travis Diggsby has been cut.
Diggsby tries to roll over but Morris keeps him under control.
Morris prevents Diggsby from standing back up.

Diggsby working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Morris doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Morris manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Morris has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Morris is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Diggsby can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Morris controls the pace.

Morris avoids the attempt from Diggsby to control.
Diggsby tries to reverse the position but Morris maintains control.
Morris connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Diggsby is looking for a sweep. Morris is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Morris takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Diggsby is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Morris's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Morris's back!

Diggsby is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!

Morris tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Diggsby swivels and escapes.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Diggsby throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Diggsby misses the shot to the body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Terry Morris dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Travis Diggsby's cut.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Diggsby tests Morris's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Diggsby tries to bum rush Morris with a series of wild strikes but Morris uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Diggsby throws a right and a left that Morris avoids nicely.
Morris fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Travis Diggsby seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Diggsby fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Morris staying out of range there.

Diggsby works the jab nicely.

Nice combo by Diggsby! Oh, that's hurt him - Morris falls to the canvas and Diggsby follows him into side control.


Morris is rocked!


It looks like Terry Morris has been cut.

Diggsby decides to stand back up. Diggsby steps back and let's Morris get back to his feet.
Travis Diggsby is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Diggsby connects with a nice cross there... Morris is looking wobbly and Diggsby recognises it - he's rushed in and lands two more brutal shots that send Morris to the canvas, out cold! A brutal finish to the fight - Diggsby jumps onto the cage to celebrate with the crowd!
