PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kren Litzke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kevin Conlin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Litzke comes to the cage accompanied by Feuer Frei by Rammstein. Conlin has chosen Eminem The Way I Am as his entrance music. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Kren Litzke!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Kevin Conlin!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, James Atkins and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Litzke swings for the body but Conlin moves out of range.
Litzke throws a half hearted mid kick.
Litzke ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Conlin moves away.
Kren Litzke seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Conlin lands a jab to the nose.
Litzke rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Conlin moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Litzke shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Conlin defends it nicely.
Conlin avoids a punch combination nicely.
Litzke tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Conlin paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Litzke ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Conlin throws a hook to the side of Litzke's head but Litzke sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Conlin bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.


It looks like Kren Litzke has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Conlin thows a left - swing and a miss!
Conlin throws a series of punches but Litzke moves out of range.
Litzke misses the shot to the body.

Litzke tries to close the distance and clinch but Conlin swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Conlin throws a lazy right hand but Litzke sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Litzke shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Conlin as he avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kren Litzke. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Litzke closes this distance looking for a takedown but Conlin circles away.

Horrible takedown by Litzke or perhaps it was just good defense by Conlin which made him look bad.
Litzke jabs Conlin right on the nose. Conlin blinks but takes it well.
Conlin slaps away a takedown attempt from Litzke, before circling back to the center of the mat.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Litzke tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Conlin content just to control the position here.
Conlin lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Litzke wants to control but Conlin is having none of it.

I looks like Conlin might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Litzke is in a horrible position here. Conlin smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Conlin cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Litzke is in a horrible position here. Conlin smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

and Conlin counters with a takedown into side control.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Conlin is looking to take a break and control but Litzke is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Conlin has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Litzke manages to work his way to half guard, despite Conlin's best efforts.

Conlin passes the guard and advances to mount!
Conlin tries to control but Litzke wriggling away.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Litzke bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Conlin can't keep his opponent in guard - Litzke advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Litzke is nestled in close to Conlin, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Litzke tries to free his leg and advance position but Conlin is retaining full guard.
Litzke postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Conlin bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Litzke's guard.

Litzke is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Conlin got a little sloppy there for a moment and Litzke has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Conlin has managed to get both his arms back between Litzke's legs - danger averted.

Conlin lands a lovely overhand right.

Conlin walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Conlin takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Litzke has his foot on Conlin's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Conlin works his way back into a safe position though.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Well Conlin has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
