Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ronnie Ronbo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tony Jaa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jaa has chosen Anna Molly by Incubus as his entrance music. Tony Jaa has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jaa pushes Ronbo away with a front kick.
Ronbo takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Jaa scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Jaa stuffs the takedown.
Jaa connects with a nice looking jab.
Jaa doesn't manage to clinch there - Ronbo circles away.
Jaa throws a sloppy head kick and Ronbo moves out of range easily.

Ronbo wants to advance to full mount but Jaa doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.
Jaa controls Ronbo momentarily but Ronbo frees himself.
Jaa utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Ronbo slips nicely into half guard.
Ronbo working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Ronbo crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Jaa - the referee stops the clock and Ronbo gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Jaa. Ronbo manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Jaa bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Ronbo's head backwards.

Jaa throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Jaa lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Ronbo postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Jaa is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Ronbo, into his guard.

and Jaa counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Tony Jaa is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Jaa scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
