The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dela Cruz feints and as Byyri raises his hands in defense, Dela Cruz changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Byyri wants to sweep but no luck.

Byyri pushes Dela Cruz off and gets back to his feet.
Byyri stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Byyri wants it to stay on the feet.
Byyri connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.

It looks like Miguel Dela Cruz has been cut.
Dela Cruz on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Dela Cruz tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Byyri paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Byyri is looking for a sweep. Dela Cruz is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Byyri is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
Dela Cruz wants to stand up but Byyri has a hold of him and won't allow it.
The fighters are battling for position here. Byyri manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Dela Cruz postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Dela Cruz stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Byyri swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Byyri on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Byyri tries to get out of the position.

Byyri has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Dela Cruz off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Byyri scores with a jab. Dela Cruz acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Byyri lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Byyri dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Byyri stuffs the takedown attempt from Dela Cruz. Dela Cruz gets slowly back to his feet.
Arto Byyri has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Miguel Dela Cruz.
