Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pedro Askal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and george st pierre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
pierre gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Askal wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Askal could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
pierre manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Askal's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
It looks like Pedro Askal has been cut.
pierre manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

pierre shoots for a double leg takedown but Askal sprawls well. He's pushed pierre's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

pierre might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Askal kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

pierre dives in and grabs Askal's left leg, looking for a takedown. Askal pushes down on pierre's head and hops out.
pierre changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Askal looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Pedro Askal.
I think pierre has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
